A personal note from Sylvia
When an unexpected collapse occurs to a tree, a home, a retaining wall it’s an inconvenience that requires work. When a landslide occurs the slope that slides away becomes a bare scar; the landscape is changed forever!
There was a time when unexpected change happened and I didn’t have a go-to strategy.
Forever is the memory of the moment my first marriage unexpectedly collapsed and life for me and my little family changed forever. A huge physical and emotional landslide occurred and my inner compass disorientated.
When you are abandoned, in shock, bewildered lost and bereft, a first step forward is to search for what you have, to reconnect with your deepest values, your personal truth, and life purpose is the way forward. Clear away distractions. Make choices that feel completely right for you at your core.
What feels right at the very core of your being may be different to what and where others think you should do, be or have.
Stay focused with you, your life is in your hands, take time to consciously breathe.
When you have a life direction no matter what happens your inner compass will reset.
Your inner compass is your intuition, your gut feeling.
It is an internal guidance system that indicates you are in alignment with your True North.
True North represents your authentic self, your core beliefs and ultimate life goals. When you are in alignment:
• Your daily actions match your values, morals and passions
• You make confident choices
What causes your inner compass to swing off course?
• Unexpected life crisis
• Pleasing others
• Doubting yourself
When your inner compass has drifted, you can reset by:
• Reviewing your personal values
• Taking time to consider what each value truly mean to you
• Deciding what is right and meaningful to you and letting these guide your next steps
Finding your True North means making choices that are authentic to you, instead of following what others expect of you.
I remember the day when I set a goal to heal my bruised soul, I came through that time and space with four words, "I trust my intuition."
I began to recognise when I was overthinking and initiated making confident choices. From a life of put-downs, I picked myself up, kept notes of turning points and from the experiences of this time, I wrote the course “Creating the Life You Want” to help others align with their True North.
Over time, so many who have carried physical and emotional scars, have recreated their lives, with this work. They are represented by a recent course participant who wrote “If you want the opportunity to understand yourself better, know what drives you and identify what you want from life this is the course for you. When an influence has separated you from your life path and purpose the course “Creating the Life You Want” is the pathway home to your true self.”
With love
