A personal note from Sylvia
Dear Beautiful People,
I’m in my home in my office again after presenting courses in New Zealand and taking some wonderful quality time with my family. It's now time to work through the promises and priorities.
Although I am fully confident in my work, my writing and the courses I present, neither you nor I can pour from an empty cup. This is true even when you’re the one leading the way and holding space for the retreat. In planning this journey, I left space for rest and focus.
I reflect on the moments a few days prior to my recent courses in New Zealand. I was enjoying a morning sail with family off the coast of Batemans Bay, New South Wales, Australia, the warmth of the sun, the light breeze and the call of my son-in-law skipper…"There’s a whale! "
It was certainly an experience of being-in-the-moment, connecting to the inner self and the world around me in preparation for the coming days of teaching that call for my absolute focus.
Unexpectedly a beautiful niece took me on an adventure connecting to nature, a flowing stream, ducks and birds, tall trees and tiny forest floor communities of moss, ferns and decaying leaves, shades of light and dark, shapes, textures and fragrances of plants and freshness, life and spirit.
This forest was in the middle of the city of Christchurch, a town still recovering from the destructive earthquakes in 2011. Much has been needed to rebuild their base, restore their faith and reconstruct their homes and they have included this wonderful park, a habitat for natures presence. We live in an abundant world.
In reflection, we were in this place to Transform the negative DNA Memories, to rebuild the foundation of our lives for total renewal, healing and legacy.
In the courses to follow I had an opportunity to lead a group of beautiful humans focusing on their personal growth. Being there for them during this process requires my whole being.
And there are times, in being human, when I also feel the wrench my course participants go through; the pull between who they were and the part of them yearning to become someone different. That's why people come to this work: to evolve into the new version of themselves that's been waiting.
A few days later, the class was deep in a protocol of new learning, holding a space of quiet when my inner awareness captured an atmospheric change. Outside it was snowing. The child in me was captivated by nature's gift as the snow silently changed the landscape. I breathed the wonderment…while beneath the surface life scurried deeper to return again renewed and refreshed, in the spring.
In the short while we were together, so many metaphors for renewal, each one pointing the way to a clearer, stable future.
Within life’s moments of wonderment I am often captured in a space where life both stands still and life speeds on.
If I have promised to send you something and you are still waiting – please remind me and I’ll respond.
with love and blessings
Sylvia Marina 🌸
